Hi there! I am back with creating your brand!

Yes, I know – EXCITING!

But, no, unfortunately, we are not going to choose your colors just yet.

BUT! We are going to see what your business’s personality is today, and that is pretty fun!

So, I promise, next time we get to do the creatives, but just before that you still need to know a few things.

And a big one is your target audience.

Who are you going to sell to AND who do you WANT to sell to?

I mean sure, in an ideal world we would sell to everybody, but that’s not the truth. There is a specific market out there for you and you need to zone in on them!

Also, having a target audience gives you a competitive advantage as you can narrow in on them when you know how to brand to get their attention. This way you can create a message that will communicate perfectly with them! How awesome!

But for that, you need to be able to identify them.

So, for instance…

Instead of “all entrepreneurs”, I narrow it down and focus on “Female entrepreneurs, especially moms, juggling both the job and the kids.”

OR

“People with business struggles” is too broad. But “Entrepreneurs who are struggling to get their business to the next level and that are not thinking outside the box on how to grow and scale their business.”

See, think of specifics, get you NICHE.

To do this you can even create a client persona and add things like age, cultural, demographic, language, whatever is applicable and might have an effect on what you sell and your product.

Knowing this you can decide what personality your brand needs to have to attract your target market.

Ask yourself; What type of person would my target market love to hang out with and become friends with?

Look at the below spectrum

Choose your side and create your perfect business persona!

You might think this is a little weird, but as soon as you have your personality it will be easy to decide on colors, etc. Because maybe you thought that pink was the way to go, but now that you know your business as a person and your target market you realise that both of them would never be caught dead in a pink outfit. Just a joke but is certainly a way you can think of it.

Also, if you are wondering how to brand your business uniquely? Make your personality stand out in every aspect of your brand building process. So, if you want to be LOUD! Then go ahead and be, but you need to remember that these qualities will need to reflect your brand in every aspect of it.

A consistent and cohesive brand is always a keeper.

But that’s it from me this week! I promise next time I talk about branding we will get creative.

Have the best week,

Nicolene
