Do you also sometimes hear that little voice inside your head telling you why NOT to start your own business, or why NOT to grow your marketing, or do the Facebook live video session. Maybe the voice is telling you not to hire that new staff member or that your latest IDEA is not that good. Nobody needs this, nobody will pay for this. Do not create this course, you are not an expert.

Well, let me tell you. I felt and still sometimes struggle with these feelings of judgment from time to time. However now, when that little voice comes into my head, I tell her to “Shut Up”.

Yes, just like that!

And I keep pushing forward anyway. Even if the feeling of not making it, not being good enough is so strong on the day, I just ignore it and do something small to move in the direction of my dreams. Believe me, when I say the voice does get quieter and quieter the more you believe in yourself. The more you keep pushing forward, the size of your step is not important, but what is important is that you do take the step. Momentum has so much power, so do not underestimate what you can do, even in the smallest of ways.

Today I want you to try something with me. Think of your idea, the thing you really want to do, but you’re too scared to take the first step. It might be that you want to apply for a new job, start a new fitness program, ask someone on a date, start a new training course, saying I am sorry to someone that is way overdue. No matter what it is, bring this idea into your space.

THEN, Step 1

Write down everything that can go wrong if you do complete this idea. Worst-case scenario. And then, when you are at rock bottom, and you have thought of all the worse things that can come from this idea, write down what you will do, to build yourself back up from the bottom. Write the steps down.

Do it and think about this. Our heads know just how to run away with us.

Step 2,

After you have done this, write down all the positive, life-changing things that can happen once you have completed the process to reach your goal or idea. How will this impact your life and your family? How will you be a different person after this? Could you help make the world a little better? Could you pass on this advice to someone else in the future?

I want you to think about all of these things, write your lists and then look and see which one excites you more. Which one makes you smile from inside and gives you the butterfly feeling?

Did you know that you are your worst enemy and worse critic? You create your fears when it comes to reaching your goals. Try to step out of this area, look from a distance at it and start speaking to yourself kinder, softer and with more positivity.

Worse case, you will fail. Really, and look at your step one, you already have a plan to build yourself back up, so what are you waiting for?

Go put it to action now, not tomorrow, but right now. Pick up the phone, post that advert, go live on Facebook for 5 seconds just to say hello, take a 10min walk. Do whatever it is, in small steps to get you to where you want to be.

Your future is waiting for you, don’t stand in your way. Now go and be awesome.
